In the last few days, you must heard a Christian leader named Mr. Ted Haggard who admitted buying illegal drug (methathetamine ??so called cheap cocaine) and taking it.  He denied (at first) later he admitted he paid to a male prostitute for gay sex.

Because the media refers him as a evangelical leader, this news not only hurt his church, but most importantly damage/hurdle a lots of young faith / newly converts in general.

Who is Ted Haggard? He is one of the most influential religious figures in the United States . He is the head of the 30 million National Association of Evangelicals (NAE).

Shortly after he admitted his awful sins, he was expelled from the 14,000-member church ( New Life Church in Colorado Springs , USA ) which he found in his home basement in 1984.

September 2006, I went to visit my daughter, Vivien, in Denver , Colorado . I took the chance to visit some Christian organizations. I spent a few hours visiting Focus of  the Family which I naively support in my first few years of my Christian life, but later I warn anyone who use their materials. (Dave Hunt, David Cloud, Martin Bodgan issue the same warning).

After I finished the tour, I was suggested to visit the World Prayer Center http://www.theworldprayercenter.org/ When I walked in the Center,  I saw Ted Haggard? picture hanging on the wall. I checked with the receptionist which denomination is this Center, and they told me that this Center is supported by the neighboring church called New Life Church and it is charismatic denomination church. In the 1990's Peter Wagner relocated to Colorado Springs joining the vision and mission to build the World Prayer Center . Then I saw the picture of the famous Korean charismatic leader David Yonggi Cho.  Guess what I saw the picture next to David Yonggi Cho, Shirley Dobson the wife of James Dobson (the founder of the Focus of the Family).

Time magazine voted Ted Haggard one of the top 25 most influential evangelicals in the US in 2005. Sadly, the news media, whether they are intend or naive, put everyone under one-roof.
